September wrapped a tough and productive legislative session with budget cuts but we advanced key bills, brought neighbors together and fought for our district. Thank you to everyone who showed up, volunteered, and engaged.

District Wins
Pro-Housing Status I’m happy to announce that Hayward & Sunnyvale earned California’s Pro-Housing designation-unlocking funding for housing efforts. My bill SB 262 (on the Governor’s desk) helps smaller cities qualify when they are helping their community.
Lower Utility Bills I helped strengthen the California Climate Credit, which automatically applies savings to PG&E bills every April and October, so families see relief right away. I also helped secure $60 billion in long-term funding through 2045 to keep utilities more affordable and reliable across California.
