New form would bring more consistency to the evaluation process and ensure greater adherence to the laws governing custody proceedings.

Sacramento – State Senator Bob Wieckowski (D-Fremont) has introduced a new bill to bring more consistency statewide to the laws involving the counselors and evaluators who advise the court on child custody decisions. 

SB 594 was introduced Friday.  It would require the Judicial Council of California to develop a child custody evaluation form by Jan. 1, 2016 to be used by every investigator or evaluator conducting child custody evaluations.

Sacramento – A bill, SB 501, by State Senator Bob Wieckowski (D-Fremont) would protect low-income Californians who are attempting to get back on their feet financially from having a larger portion of their wages garnished and would also prohibit garnishing the wages of Californians for private student loan debt.

Sacramento – State Senator Bob Wieckowski (D-Fremont) recognized Hayward’s Way To Be Designs today for its selection as a CoolCalifornia Small Business Award winner by the California Air Resources Board.  Way To Be Designs and 15 other companies were honored during a ceremony at the California Environmental Protection Agency building.
